Music and fashion from La Laguna in an international festival

For the 49th International Cervantino Festival, some Lagunero friends and I will be combining our talents. This year Coahuila shines bright as the honored guest state.
Carla Coto, a singer with a prolific career, will perform with her musical group this Sunday, October 17. They will be performing jazz totally live at the 49th Cervantino International Festival in the city of Guanajuato, México.
Coto & Du, a duet made up of Carla Coto (vocals) and Salvador García (guitar), musicians with a long career from Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico, have been part of various popular contemporary, Latin American, jazz and blues music groups with which they perform concerts honoring Mexican and international composers and performers.
For her presentation, the singer will wear a spectacular necklace made by hand in Torreón by Paulina Meza Jewelry.
The piece is a maxi chest-type necklace, in which seven textured golden metal horses seem to gallop. The horses were textured with a hammer and they have an oxide finish that highlights the reliefs.

Carla and I have been friends for many years and we are proud to be able to represent women from Torreon in this international forum, and above all, to team up. We are excited to showcase the northern Mexican talent at such an important event.
